Sorry, that first part was a bit confusing - it should have said, "which is, and probably always will be, a PS3 exclusive." Someone was asking me a question when I was typing that.

i dont have much time for video games nowadays - i dont have the time to be engrossed for days on end. a lot of these 'serious' games seem to be weighted too heavily on time-eating endurance, pummelling you with gritty shit that causes brain fatigue. and not the sort of good brain fatigue that a decent surreal puzzle would cause. ive found so called 'big title' games making up for any intuitive pickle tickling with wankily enduced stress, like its fooling you into thinking its challenging and youve accomplished something. i dont want that. i want a new fucking mario game which i can pick up after work and giggle my tits off to.

sorry about the tangent. its just the whole casual/serious divide seems to be such an issue nowadays...

There's games out there in the current generation like that, but they are harder to find. I'm with you; I don't have a ton of time for games these days...

Remember to watch EA's Press Conference :)

Hopefully they show Mass Effect 2, and maybe Gabe Newell will show up to announce what he's been up to. And maybe Dead Space 2 or Mirror's Edge 2?

Edit: they have already showed ME2.

Starting this fall, movies and television shows from Zune Video will be playable on the Xbox 360 in 1080p HD.

Microsoft says that video start up using their new service will be "as close to instantaneous as possible" by transitioning between many different bitrates and resolutions of video. What that means, Microsoft says, is that video will start up at a low bit rate for fast download and then shift to a higher bitrate and quality as the download kicks in. The process, they say, will allow them to deliver 1080p video with little to no download delay.

Another cool feature being added is the ability to host an Xbox Live party and have your friends all gather in the virtual room as avatars to watch the real movie or TV show on their television.

The service relaunch will also include a better search function and is being expanded form eight to eighteen countries.

In addition to the current eight markets – US, Canada, UK, France, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Spain – Zune video will launch along with Xbox LIVE in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland.

FINALLY!

What did you like about Saboteur? It looked like Hitman in another setting. I stopped watching when the main character got into the brothel to escape from the germans. Lame!

Anyway I thought EA was boring.

Braid?

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

EA's press conference was indeed quite boring, but I love the aesthetics of the game, plus the things they've promised in earlier interviews and trailers sound quite interesting. I also love it when game developers actually dare to put in mature content instead of pleasing all the moms out there - so hats off to Pandemic Studios.

The controls and animation looked a bit awkward though.

the Avatar game is in 3D? jizzed in my pants. James Cameron = best part of E3 so far.
