Just started listening. Pretty good stuff. By the sound of it I'm sure Sean has taught her a thing or two.

Since Mira Calix is important to Sean's life, I suggest that we kidnap her, so we ask him for infos about the tenth album's title, or she dies. How does that sound?

Listened to one or two of her songs, didn't like it.

The only track that I've heard by her that I like is Khala (the last track that plays at the end of the 7 Year Glitch warp documentary)

surprised more AE fans dont dig her first album, to me it's ridiculously AE influenced in all the rights ways it's not biting nor does it sound like any other artists i've heard.

in fact im surprised i forgot to mention this LP in the 'music that is like autechre thread'

good find - I know that album but I did completely forget how it did sound like

it features elements of stuff æ did back then mixed with the contemporary classical stuff she is into currently

yeah, I've been digging her stuff since 2001. I really like her aesthetics, it feels genuinely handcrafted but not in this smug twee sort of way like the trendy "naïve art" kind of thing that was popular a while back. Gescom did a remix of one of her tracks, I think it was called "Ithanga", and it's super repetitive but really nice.

I really liked Pin Skeeling and Oneonone and I have Prickle on vinyl but I never bothered with the later stuff. I think I will check that out sometime, actually. that remix she did of Seefeel's "Air Eyes" was wonderful too, way better than the original.

coincidentally the Boards of Canada remix of her "Sandsings" is the first time I ever appreciated their music.

I really like One on One album, Ilanga EP is also great.

only heard miracalix remixing a pomassl track, but have always been curious. i guess her first album would be a good place to start?! what period autechre does it sound like?
