Autechre The End Of Parhelic Triangle

Have you ever noticed how beautiful this little section is, with that subtle little melody that's almost embarrassed to be there? A very good Autechre moment, quite sublime really.

i love the way the bell thingies in the background just kind of meander their way through the track like they don't care about anything. it's got this really 'urgent' feel to it, i don't know how to describe it but it is a great thing.

The rhythm rapes my mind as it progresses... and I like it. It just kind of folds in on itself or something.

Great song, great CD.

Special mention also goes to Uviol, which was kind of a sleeper hit for me - I can't get enough of the manipulation of that thing that sounds a bit like a whale call or something occasionally, and the variable length of the white noise thing. So cool. The bit between 5:14 to 5:44 or so is complete win.

I find the ending very sad because it means the track is nearly over.

I noticed today though that if I press "<<" on my mp3 player just as I start to get a little tearful that track starts over from the beginning!
