he's a good performer that can deliver a song. thats it. I don't think anyone's under the presumption that he's a musical genius.

au contraire, i think that low and heroes are pretty flawless.

obviously a lot of that is down to fripp/eno/even tony visconti to a degree.

but it's still bowie's name on the cover.

I like David Bowie's music. A lot of it.

 

I've seen him live twice. They were both great shows.

bowie's one of those artists I listened to as a teenager that I like just as much now.

 

i have a killer mix and when i say mix i mean playlist of awesome proportions of david bowie music

i thought he was good in basquiat & the prestige. i like a lot of his music, but it does matter who he is working with. someone bought me that reality tour dvd and i didn't care for it much.

Bowie has a high crap to goodness ratio. Even more so than his bud lou reed. I love fame. Major tom and Fame though. Dunno how much he had to do with any of them.
