Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence is a great and under-rated film, and also quite idm (Takeshi, Sakamoto in make up, weird 80's stop motion effect in the Bowie kiss scene with synth soundtrack...)

Was never fond of anything he did after scary monsters. By the time earthling came out just seemed like he was struggling to stay relevant. The past couple records he released sound like he's comfy in his own skin finally.

His older stuff was amazing for it's time.

on the other hand 1.outside is an excellent album

I honestly thought Heathen was an amazing album for what it was....extremely versatile, and Bowie has finally embraced that raspy croon of his for a couple songs....he has a good "wobble" in his voice, if Ive described it correctly.

he should NEVER have got his teeth fixed.

Slow Burn hits the spot for me - up there with his classic best and not bad for a mid 60 something, voice is as powerful as Tom Jones when he pushes it.
