I just can't imagine tackling something like that... if it comes out totally different, then people may or may not like it for that fact alone. Any attempt to capture that song's greatness that falls short will similarly fail

off the top of my head the only one i can think of is u-ziq's remix of on, i remember liking that one. otherwise, it's a pretty barren wasteland and most people have teh sensibility to not go there

Cylob's version of Ventolin is ace as far as I'm concerned...

are these remixes? Usually remixes have something extra to the titles. Are you sure this isn't from the covers section of the boxset?

On and Ventolin are relatively simple AFX songs and easier to turn into a good sounding remix, with vordhosbn this is much less the case I think.

agreed. most drukqs tracks I feel would be too daunting to remix. even if you somehow came up with something, it wouldn't top the original. pre-96 afx would be fairly easy to remix, I think.

Agree with the second part of this post, I hear nothing relative to the original in Cylob's.

Disagree with the first part, Probus Mix is superior to all Ventolin mix. Cylob's and the Wheeze mix come close.

The only drukqs songs with any chance would be if someone did some very interesting beats and edits to the ambient/prepared piano tracks. And not just Avril 14th with the Amen break thrown over it.

Otherwise its hopeless. Remixing Vordhosbn would be like, I dunno, street-tuning a Aston Martin or Ferrari with Japanese aftermarket parts. It's possible, it will "work," but it would be just wrong and utterly pointless.

leila is aphex. so should be bloody good.

i'm willing to bet that it will be a minimal version of vordhosbn.

it will be interesting to see if he drops these in live sets.
