£22.50 is pretty fucking steep, especially considering you don't know whether Aphex is going to play an epic or waste your time..

Indeed, if it comes down to it do it man. I'll hopefully be going with a little crew, but I won't miss out on it if they don't decide to go.

Why are all these gigs every year up norf!?! I fucking hate going that far and Manc sucks big time. That gig 2 years ago was f'ing mental apart from the moooody crowd and the drive home was scary....

Crowd wasn't moody last time? Met some really sound people. I'm unsure if any of my mates will be up for it this time but I'll be going it alone if not

Grizz - we talking 2 years ago yeah, the year with the gurners? It was well moody I saw it kick off atleast twice down the front, loads of mashed up northern mates picking fights. I kept my soft southern mouth right shut these guys were just looking for trouble..

Oh yeah and I had to pay the bar staff £5 fucking quid for a bottle top CNUTS..

Yeah Same one but I didn't have any trouble with anyone. I was right at the front though pretty pissed so no one had chance to bother me really. Ridiculous prices at the bar in there though yeah, but theres plenty of pubs to drink in beforehand..

The £5 was just for a bottle top to the water I was buying + the price of the water. The bar staff were told not to let anyone have a plastic top to their water?!

I don't rememeber a bad vibe and I was right down the front? Was pretty mashed though and concentrating more on the tunes to notice ;)

Forgot about that stupid bottle top thing. Will be smuggling one in this year!

The crowd that Aphex night 2yrs ago seemed like The Big Chill compared to the nights that weren't sold out like Dave Clarke which was meathead Manc gangsta central, some very serious people instead of pissed up students, fucked hippies and stone cold sober chin scratchers which seemed quite safe in comparison.

Its also much cheaper to take drugs than buy the drinks, £3.80 for some bullshit Smirnoff Ice copy? Where the fuck is my Strongbow or at least Magners?
