anybody ever been a prostitute?

Recommended Posts

Guest aquinas

soooo i just moved to montreal, quebec, and as an english-speaking canadian who's not from quebec, there are pretty much no job opportunities if you don't speak french. and because quebec is legally its own nation, i'm basically an immigrant. the only job options for english speaking people here are a handful of illegal fly-by-night scam call centres, under-the-table dishwashing or manual labour jobs that pay well under minimum wage, or being a professional escort. and frankly you make a hell of a lot more money as an escort than any of the other options.

so my question is, has anybody ever been an escort? is it like the movies where you have to fuck grossly obese 50-something shut-ins and scary cokehead rapists?

Go get a manual labour job, and keep your dignity intact.

seriously, move as far away from quebec as possible. why would *anyone* choose to live there unless they grew up there? go to toronto or calgary or vancouver or somewhere civilized.

also quebec needs to separate from canada asap, seriously fuck them

Work for less than minimum wage? LOL, that's not dignity. Making your own money on your own time is dignity. If your own morality can cope with it, why not? As the article says, a lot of guys get into it then realise it's not something they can do, but why not try it if you've no objections to start with? The money is very good and a lot of escorts - get this - actually enjoy their jobs. And if that offends the morality of some middle-aged Texan, who fucking cares? He's not selling himself on your street. Or on any street. Because that's not how it works.

whats wrong with quebec?

everything. they basically blackmailed and tried to screw over the entire country during the whole coalition BS last year in order to get as much money and power as possible. there were many under the table deals struck with the liberals and NDP to give large amounts of money to quebec on a consistant basis if they overthrew the government. the bloc quebecois party doesn't care about canada, only cares about quebec, and tries to extort as much money as possible from everyone. it's completely unfair to the rest of canada and they just need to separate already. what other political party only has one province in mind? it should be illegal to vote for them in federal elections. there are a huge amount of people who feel the same way about quebec as i do, it shouldn't come as a surprise

edit - they actually threatened the entire unity of the country last year. i tolerated quebec for a long time, but after they pulled that, it's basically time for them to GTFO and form their own country alread. also sorry for the longwinded quebec political rant, i don't want to get offtopic about self-prostitution

Here's an article about fabulous young rent-boys in NYC: http://www.observer.com/2009/o2/hipster-rent-boys-new-york

  Quote

“So many people hate their jobs but they need to keep them because they need to make money, and they can’t look for another job in this economy,” he said. “I’m happy that I’m able to make money and be happy at the same time. It’s like, I understand what a hooker is, but the difference between what a hooker is and what I think I am…”

He paused.

“I don’t think I’m a hooker. I guess I don’t really know what I am. A companion? I’m selling my time, my affection. Not my dick.”

These guys seem real concerned about their loss of dignity. In b4 "gays have no dignity anyway".

serious answer to your actual question - 3 of my mates shag hookers and they're all mid-late 20's.

usually they get well coked up, cant get it up, and then the hooker sells them more coke and that takes about 6hrs or £600

they're actually ok guys:]

I didn't realize job opportunities were that bad in quebec for people who are not bilingual. Fuck Montreal and Quebec in general.

About the escort issue. The fact that you have given it some consideration makes me believe that you are already over initial moral/dignity factor.

Also is moving an option for you ?? I am assuming the answer is negative?? Anyways if you can move, movie to Toronto. Anyone can find a job there.

I really dont think youre going to get a "yes" answer to this question. But can I ask how you ended up somewhere where you need to sell yourself?

Other than that Im sure an escort service has a lot of things in place to stop you getting fucked over (metaphorically that is), a pimp on the other hand......

Just depends on your definition of dignity

But if you want to stay human instead of being a soulless twat you shouldnt do whatever it takes for money
