one of my favourite things about this album are the lyrics

Juanita and Juan

Very clever with maracas

Making their fortune

Selling second-hand tobacco

Juan dances at Chico's

And when the clients are evicted,

He empties the ashtrays

And pockets all that he's collected

only eno could come up with that!

By this time I got to looking for a kind of substitute

I can't tell you who I found, except that it rhymes with dissolute

lol... whoremaster

this may be the point, but what do those lyrics mean

interpretation is left as an exercise for the reader

I may be one of Eno's greatest admirers, but I really don't care for this album or anything similar. I'm much more impressed by his ambient works.

(Bob Wilson) Sorry... you created that reality tunnel, you can find your way out... You built the Trap... you know the design better than anyone...sagatsfz3stage.jpg

i found myself singing

on some faraway beach;

without any headphones

at the top of my lungs

going home after work.

sometimes eno just takes you

(by strategy)

kind of off-topic but has anyone heard tracks and traces (eno and harmonia)? they just reissued it and i got a copy and it's really really great... hasn't dated at all - just like best of later cluster/harmonia but has a slightl sensibility of the eno stuff from the same time... that kind of english wistfulness in some of the music for films stuff for instance.

definitely check it out if you haven't... i'd never bothered in the past cause i'd never seen it in a shop and it was supposedly just outtakes anyway.

'

yep, its great, .. did ya get the reissue, or "original" cd from '96 (or so)?

gonna have to get the 2lp reissue, when im able (before its sold out, like the live one was pretty quickly)
