Bibio - The Apple & The Tooth

Bibio will follow the acclaimed success of his debut LP with an album of new work and remixes entitled 'The Apple & The Tooth'.

As well as 4 new unheard Bibio tracks, the album will feature remixes by Clark, Wax Stag, Eskmo, Lone and others.

With ‘The Apple and the Tooth’ Bibio once again plays to his strengths by showcasing a whole variety of songs, from lush introspective music collages to beats that could be like some long forgotten disco treasure dusted off. It would be hard to believe this was the work of one producer if it were not for the inimitable vintage imprint on his music.

As well as on CD and digital, ‘The Apple and the Tooth’ also comes in a super luxe, high end strictly limited 12” in a gold foil embellished sleeve, limited to 1000 worldwide & 150 in the UK!

He just isn't stopping for breath, is he? Which is a great thing. Pre-ordered both, just hope this isn't too long in coming. The sample up on the site sounds shit-hot.

This is great news- Ambivalence Avenue is possibly my favorite album of the year. The remixers are well-chosen as well.

The sample track sounds awesome as well- A good hybrid of his folksy and crunchy hiphop styles. I want to hear more now!

i love the cover and the back but can't help thinking they would be way better with no type at all. also, a great alternate would have been 1 simple apple cut in half with a tooth profile replacing the apple seeds. if done right, could be way cool. kudos for all the output though. cant wait. a new clark mix never hurts either!

I am pleased with everything about this, especially clark & lone remixes and whatever "some long forgotten disco treasure dusted off" is.

Christ on a cracker, he is 2009's most prolific artist for sure and responsible for some of my favorite stuff this year between Ambivalence and Vignetting (I preferred this one but both very good)! Excited to hear this and glad there's at least one great Warp artist cranking out the tunes, go Bibio!

i'm just gonna throw this out there, but i'm pretty sure the keaver & brause remix has been up on his myspazz for a few weeks now, called 'on feuer'.

whatever record bibio sampled for fire ant is definitely the same source on the keaver tune, whether that is actually just another take on that and what actually comes out i suppose is speculative.

got into gentleman losers through bibio saying how much he likse their album in an interview :D looking forward to their remix. and the clark remix.

and ofcourse, a good 4 tracks worth of new bibio material... and a bibio remix of bibio, ... FIVE bibio tracks :D

Bibio has always been a favourite, but he's been putting out some incredible work this year. I love how this seems to marry his older sound with what we've heard on Ambivalence Avenue.

The man's had an incredible release schedule this year and hasn't put out one poor track in my opinion, not forgetting Ovals and Emeralds which I loved.

i haven't heard anything from his earlier releases...i really need to get some.

there have been two new artists on Warp that i've been really enthusiastic about, those being Pivot (can't wait for the next album, which should drop next year) and Bibio.
