Nuane is a really good song

mark sanchez and the jets have a tough game ahead for them against the saints in new orleans. this could be the jets first defeat of the season. but i have faith that the jets will pull through and beat the saints!

Cipater starts with some spark kinda sounds that bounce around, then there is a metallic clunking which makes a sound like a machine, but then it quickly clunks into a beat which makes a sound like a funky machine. The bass line goes "doo doo doo do doo" and there are synths too. It's a bit sad, like a big sad funky machine!

Then an alarm goes off and you think "intruder alert! I better get the fuck out of here!" but it turns out to be the song! lol

Anyway, the metal clunks change how they clank and the synths are different. The bass line meanders around in the background and then it all kind of falls apart and the song finishes.

That's how Cipater goes.

I haven't actually gotten around to listening today yet.

the first 4 tracks on chiastic slide (like untilted) could be one of the top ae eps, even though rettic ac is almost pisstakey, it still has a very nice vibe, not unlike my favorite prostate stimulator. hub never really clicked with my, recury and calbruc are interesting but not really moving, nuane is quite nice. though i wish the synth line changed at least once or twice from the m3 progression.

envane is just fucking great. flawless for this era ae, as soon as the synth in goz 1/4 comes in i begin to get stupid hard. then i'm just cumming everywhere by the time draun comes in with its farty bass hits

hub is freakin' amazing.

the only track i don't 'get' on chiastic slide is recury. it's way too long and doesn't do much, well not that i can notice anyway.

i love the rusty gate sound in calbruc! and cichli is fucking epic.

Goz Quarter. Again and again.

Cichli and Rettic AC are great, the rest are ok and Nuane is pretty boring for me.

Envane is fantastic.

i'm simply referring to the simplicity of the song. i think it's a beautiful atmosphere, with the traditional ae cute synth vs (almost) beatless noise. it probably took them about 1/10th of the time it took to compose any other song on the release. that's all i'm sayin

Cipater might be one of my favorites now. there is just so much cool noise going on

so i listened to all of chiastic slide yesterday and i found it very enjoyable. its got this really dark machinery type vibe to it which none of their other stuff really has. i am gonna listen to envane today.

I don't really get the hate for the whole Hub-Calbruc-Recury segment.

Hub is an excellent ambient piece, the bagpipe type sounds are some of the most creepy and nostalgic sounding Ae synth ever.

Calbruc is a very blurry song in that there are not very clearly defined edges but if you listen very carefully it actually has alot more depth than it seems at first. Also it flows perfectly into Recury which is a brilliant track. Just the harsh pop of the snare and the reverb all the noises carry here. Very decent track. If you don't like Recury you need to listen to it really really loud some time.
