anyone here use online dating services?? i was thinking about doing a write up myself and see what type of women are interested in me

A friend of mine is going out with a girl he met on OK Cupid tonight, he met his last girl there too.

I'm not on anything except FB but do these things really work that well?

I used plenty of fish and can vouch for the response time being pretty good.

Problem is that both of the girls I ended up meeting off of that site were pretty much total psychos. The way I see it, girls who need to use the INTERNET to find guys are either hideously ugly or psychologically fucked out the ass.

I'm sure there are some nice ladies on there, but in my opinion you're probably far better off just grabbing your balls and going out to meet girls. Its something I'm still struggling with but I don't really want to bother with that site anymore.

I deleted my OKCupid profile last night actually. It was one of my first acts of getting back on the internet (Facebook's gone too). Aside from one brief fortnight of mutual webcam nudity last year, which ended in her blocking me anyway, it was really just a waste of time.

the sites are good depending on the type of people they attract. my friend went on a free one, and only psychos replied to her. i've been a couple of dates through paid sites, linked to certain websites i think are cool. a few have gone further than just dates. but i was a bit sick of trying to plough through the lies and unrepresentative photos. plus i don't think i can articulate who i want, or guess who i'll like them based on their interests, blurb, etc. i think i can tell more about a person just by watching them do something inconsequential for a few seconds, their mannerisms, etc, than i can buy reading about their interest, music taste and whether they like friends better than fraser. i'd recommend you go for it, if you're thinking about it, as it's great to get out there and meet women, especially if you're not a smooth-talking, confident, coked-snorting bastard who picks up women easily irl for a living.

i don't really understand why anyone would sign up to a website like this.. there are girls everywhere, seems like just the crazy ones end up online

Oh my, what glee would be had on WATMM's part were those "cam sessions" ever to be released. You're ballsy enough and just the type to post them anyway and be like "whatevs." Meanwhile, the animated .gif's and memes generated from the shots would be legion.

WATMM's seen the most explicit of Iain. There wasn't much more to the cam-whoring, to my knowledge.

I had joined okcupid the same day as Iain, but only kept it up for a month. I was chatting to a couple of Eastern European girls, but they were idiots.

Dating sites are pretty pathetic in my opinion. There are a couple of regulars in my pub at work who claim to get a lot of action out of them, but they're both weird twats anyway. I don't want to fuck the sort of girls on those sites.
