My favourite trax from the Hotline Miami soundtrack are by Sun Araw (i.e. Horse Steppin' & Deep Cover)

Also some of the NES classics like the Brinstar music on the original Metroid and the first stage on Bionic Commando I'll always remember

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

So I was obsessing over Clouds from Nidhogg, when I discovered the soundtrack is by Daedelus. Makes a lot of sense. He posted Forest on his soundcloud yesterday. Need Clouds.

I didn't realize Praga Khan made the Mortal Kombat theme until just now. Makes sense though.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

Killer7 has always had one of my favorite soundtracks (And storyline, atmosphere, etc. One of my top games for sure). The 'Multiple Personality' track for Harman's Room is simply one of the coolest things I've ever heard in a game.

metal gear solid 2 basically had snares do the boss theme (ok it's just some kind of distorted drum and bass but still)

lol those breaks are p thin in retrospect

anybody else think this

is a huge rip off of this

i don't care so much about the harry-gregson williams composed tracks

I wouldn't make such a big deal out of it (I know japanese vgm composers/game designers in general don't exactly care about the concept of intellectual property all the time) but twilight sniping is/was probably my favorite track in the entire game

regular old alert theme in the ost version has a cool breakdown (does brushes)

i got a roland rompler yesterday. i might be mistaken but i'd say 100% of the string sounds on the ocarina of time soundtrack come from it, or a previous model (mine is the jv-1010)

also probably a repost but i didn't find out until a while after beating it that the shovel knight ost was available for free on bandcamp: https://virt.bandcamp.com/album/shovel-knight-original-soundtrack

it's really the best part of the game

Guest bitroast

picked up From Software's Evergrace (was investigating their pre-Demon's Souls titles and this one stood out for being 3rd person and having a batshit crazy soundtrack. having played ~30 minutes of it, my favourite bit from the game is still the batshit crazy soundtrack.

instantly get OPN - Returnal vibes from this crazy ass shit ...

what videogame composer in their right mind would make something so spastic for the shop music ???

shop music^ love it.

really touching tribute to recently deceased president of Nintendo Satoru Iwata by Hirokazu Tanaka, composer of Metroid, Super Mario Land, creator of the Famicom and Gameboy sound chips:
