the fact that aaron is there is not strange, what is strange is the fact that he was born there, that sugested that claire died before having her baby...

I thought it was that whom ever created this purgatory meet up place had them "come back" in their first instance of island state? Because time is not important and Hurley could have died 100 years after everyone else but they all re-booted back to day one form... Apart from Charlies hair which would be a paradox :d

The show has almost made me feel physically sick about how much stuff (the best stuff) never got addressed in this final season and how pointless that stuff was. The show has almost mimicked what a lot of its fans did after season 3 and gave up on itself. Nice jorb cunts

they don't reboot, lol, imagine a collective dream, or collective allucination, if that makes any sense, claire wanted to picture aron being born so, everyone else saw it, eleanor wanted to make up for her disbeliefe in her own son about playing piano so did a concert, that kind of stuff lol, and we, the viewers, see it all mixed up, instead of seeing it trough the eyes of each character

I asked my brother what he thought of the finale and he said that it touched his heart and took a shit on his brain. I had to agree.

I've read a couple of these last pages, and I don't feel spoiled, then again I'm only mostly through season 2, so I have no idea what the fuck people are talking about. I'm at the part where michael just shot libby and ana lucia, and then eko and locke find the observation hatch, locke gets all butthurt from the orientation video and eko gets all starry eyed about it. Libby is injected with heroine and tells Hurley and Jack that micheal did it, however they don't take her seriously. I can predict that mike did it as some kind of plan hatched by the others, kill ana lucia, libby is just a casualty, and let us get baloon guy back, then we'll give you walt. Actually that still doesn't make sense.

Not bad with a dose of... whatever. The purgatory thing is a bit too sweet and likeable. However I still maintain that the worst part of LOST is S5 and now, most of S6.

So much for Charles Widmore, what exactly was his purpose?

So yeah. I've decided I like the limbo idea. Answers for the island should have been given in S5/S6.

it was fucking lame the ending. i did not expect all mysteries to be explained, but something at least, now it was all brushed aside because it was all about the characters. well, shit, a part from a few of the characters they were really uninteresting and the island itself had more character than most of them put together. the whole island mythology was just to reel in the viewers as their badly written characters couldn't do it by themselves. it was a cop out and simply bad writing. i don't expect a technobabble explanation of everything, i would have been content with some magic explanation, as long as it would have been consistent, which it wasn't.

in all interviews leading up to the finale the producers really pushed that point. the show is about the characters the show is about characters.

and now they will never talk about it again. lol

Surprised to find most people here don't like the idea of the ALT being a limbo of sorts. I really feel that if S5-S6 were actually good that the limbo ending merged with some sort of satisfying island conclusion would have been incredible. Not every mystery needs to be answered, the ones they did answer usually ended in... terrible answers!

but how can your dead limbo life merge with your real life? thats whats silly. i think everyone thought that the 2 timelines would merge and show some relevance especially since jack would bleed on his neck when he got cut on the island. but it wasnt parallel at all, it all happened after the fact. so claire gave birth in limbo? a baby was born into purgatory. fantastic.

Claire giving birth could be because it was the most important thing to happen to her on the island. I'm sure the Lostpedians have come up with some satisfying explanation. There was a theory about Jack having a son to get over his issues with his father (the cut... I won't even bother trying), so Claire maybe had to give birth for a similar, completely unexplained (it seems) reason. It is sad that the writers couldn't make things like that clearer though so I absolutely agree with you. :\

I didn't mean to imply the idea was executed perfectly, but I found it to be an extremely suitable ending for the show (in an idealised world where S5-S6 weren't full of pointless crap).
