Led Zeppelin have always been my favourite band, from the very first time I was asked "who's your favourite band?" my answer was Led Zepplin.

When the levee breaks

Trampled underfoot

Black country woman

Gallows pole

Bron-Y-Aur

Misty Mountain Hop

Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin

Led Zeppelin 3

Those two albums became my life for about 2 years.

those are decent comparison's for quite a few reasons, radiohead and tool may never make a good album again though :(

I love Led Zeppelin instrumentally but appreciating Robert Plant's vocals isn't always something I can accomplish successfully.

Wasn't there a thread a few years back that had some John Bonham breakbeat's??? I wish I still had em :|

except neither of those bands are even 1/10th as good as floyd and zeppelin. but then 90s rock is about 1/10th as good as 65-75 rock so I guess it makes sense.

4 realz!!!!

Zeppelin never released a bad record, bowed out gracefully after bonham died and made music that I formed nearly all my childhood memories around. People like to hate on them due to their popularity, but they're one of the few that live up to and transcend the hype around them. The only way I would compare them to a band like Tool is that both bands have found commercial success by completely following their own path and each member of both bands brings so much personality to the table through their contributions, that neither band would be the same if either of them lost just one member.

i hate that cover of no quarter that tool did. that's probably my favorite led zeppelin song and i was expecting the tool version to be FUCKING AMAZINGFJDSKLF:jdfajklf;da but it disappointed.

idk what this has to do with your original post.
