Unless the Analord bonuses were just a way to stave off fans' hunger for new Aphex and get some nice money while doing it (which it probably is), we're probably going to see some new Aphex next year. Not holding my breath for BoC, but at this point, if it comes out, great, if not, then I've got other artists to listen to. The way Ae has been releasing, we'll probably have another EP or something in the first half of the year.

We've got new FlyLo in April, Venetian Snares every few days, Burial most likely, Four Tet (if he ever sorts himself out), Prefuse is 1/2way done with his album as of November...shaping up to be a good year, probably the best in a while.

THATS HOW U NO U GOD WHEN YOU GOTA MODEL AND SHE THROW UP ON YO DICK BECAUSE ITS SO BIG AND YOUR IN A LIMO GOING TO A LIL B CONCERT - Lil B

I want a new Team Doyobi and Devine.

Also, I was reading the Autechre gig announcement on Ancienne Belgique's website and it contained this:

  Quote
Their tenth album will be released in March 2010. True to tradition, everyone is behaving superfluously secretive about it, right up until the very last minute.

michael jackson sightings will increase

his death will become the biggest publicity stunt

in history. it is already worth hundreds of millions

of dollars. the biggest death con the world has ever seen.

some will hate him for emotional duress, most will admire

his achievement and love him more then they ever did.

I think Amon Tobin will have a release in 2012 for sure. I also think RDJ, Boards of Canada, and Noisia will release some material (although Noisia are dnb/neurofunk but i would class this as IDM because its damn intelligent music).

What the fuck is neurofunk?

Susumu Yokota would be wonderful. his latest work did not impress me next to the endless brilliance of his back catalogue.

i'll give it another go though. i think initially i was thrown off by the vocal element, just like a few tracks on Wonder Waltz bothered me.

This thread has created excitement. I suppose aside from the ones typically discussed (BoC, Aphex, Plaid, Clark etc) I hadn't put much thought into who would be releasing new material in 2010. Nice to hear Autechre has something in the works for the first half of the year, and Prefuse already? Surprising since we had 2 albums last year. So that likely won't come out till the later part of the year.

Anyway, excited about the prospect of releases by many of the artists mentioned.
