Hello friends. With the release of the latest video I have been sucked back into the frustration and intrigue of trying to figure out who this mysterious person is.

Is it Lykke Li?

Since I haven't really listened to her much I hadn't considered the possibility, but after sampling her last album on Amazon and looking at some pix, I can see how it could be. Plus she is from Sweden and her last album was out 2 years ago so she is due for another.

Also, listen to the song "Everybody But Me" from her last album. Even though the iamamiwhoami vocals are a little smoother than Lykke Li's signature sound, the beat production/sounds in this track remind me of the 4th iamamiwhoami video. (Listen to the first 2 minutes at least to really get a feel.) What do you think?

Lastly, her latest blog post on MySpace makes reference to recording a 2nd album. I don't know how this comes into play. If she hasn't yet done any recording for the new album, could these clips be her's? Is she fibbing and she already has stuff recorded?

Could it be Royksopp's new album with tracks featuring other artists, including Lykke Li (again)? It's due to be out April 2010.

Yeah the bottom row of her teeth in those two pictures certainly look like a match...

I'm liking the Royksopp theory.

lol That is my favorite theory!!!!!

So now that I'm thinking of it in terms of a Royksopp project with featured female vocals, it could be Little Boots or Lykke Li or whomever in the video and that would explain why the music is so different from their usual output.

It's not little boots i'm pretty sure of that.

I believe I have found the answer.

- Not christina (voice is too different, her publicist made a statement it's not her)

- Not little boots (looks too different)

- Not fever ray

- Not mgmt (lol to those who speculated)

- Not goldfrapp (tho they may have a hand in it, it's not them as goldfrapp)

- Not NIN (trent wasn't doing anything in the time that it would've taken to get this ready for December)

Voice, looks, upcoming album, European, up and coming and has money behind her.

I saw the name mentioned and went on a research frenzy, and she seems to be the most likely now, especially with this newest vid.

edit: either that or it is indeed, Golden Filter. Who knows anymore.

i think you might be right. the videos would fit in with the aesthetic she seems to have. and the voice matches better.

that last video gave me a massive attack vibe... but i still think it's Royksopp w/ Lykke Ly. The end shot really looks like her.
