he must be forgetting that roy, pominville, mcarther, rivet, mair, paetsch, lalime, and montador are all canadian.

or the fact that over half the nhl is canadian. or the fact that team canada is playing in the olympics against slovakia, not in the nhl against the sabres, who would inevitably lose any way.

point is finland=fail, canada v slovakia in like 4 hours.

finland didn't have any business being in the semifinals, to be honest. embarrasing. once again they couldn't handle the pressure. rest of the world goes into any sporting event to win, regardless of their realistic chances, meanwhile the finns go to an event with the mindset to try their best and avoid to lose. completely wrong way to approach any competition. it's the national mentality. finland is probably the only country in the world that would consider a silver medal a won medal.

There's gonna be riots here if Canada doesn't win convincingly. They should resurrect Grant Fuhr. Give him a few rails and he'll be as good as he ever was.

All the Canada games are home games, which is a nice change from something like the playoffs. Not as much fun to watch a game where the crowd isn't on your team's side.

yeah every game is exciting cause it sounds like the crowd is cheering in a gold medal game. i'm used to all the 'mericans booing my team.

Wow, Canada is now the country with most gold medals, thanks to the recent victory in 5000m relay speed skating.

whoa that hockey was too fucking close for my liking.

i am torn on who to root for in the hockey finals. one the one hand i'd like the americans to win as they have played outstandingly the whole tournament with a no frills fast paced game. on the other hand i'd like to see canada win it, as they have 3 guys from the blackhawks. especially toews who has really been great in this tournament deserves a gold.

of course it is! sports are great for that reason! to entertain us, to show people achieve goals and have fun! but the olympic spectacle only dilutes this fact, in my opinion. just sounding off, sorry.
