Lazy reviews on Oversteps

Hi everyone, I'm new here (as you will see). First of all, sorry for the poor expression, english is not my primary language and I have a hard time with it.

Why would a band with so many shades as Autechre receives so many lazy analysis by the press? The last ones are especially shameful, the Pitchfork review compared to these seems like Nietzsche:

Allmusic:

    Quote
Despite their prowess with programming, Sean Booth and Rob Brown have been critics' darlings since the birth of IDM because their music is interesting — not just innovative. Whether long ("Bike") or criminally short ("Eutow"), early Autechre tracks gained praise because they were brilliantly moody and memorably melodic. Oversteps, the duo's tenth full-length in 20 years, is more of the same (in a good way). Introducing the record is "R Ess," which reveals just a hint of the cavernous atmospherics highlighting the album. Make no mistake, the beats are coming, as is the dread synth (that sounds like The Terminator reborn), but it's all done in the context of music that is as engaging as it is experimental. Even on "Qplay," one of the most jarring tracks with its continual clash of beats and effects, Autechre find the beauty in technical rigor.

That's all, really.

Resident Advisor review (important magazine specialize in electronic music) is here, and doesn't tell ANYTHING about the music itself, but complains the album's length duration. And this coming for electronic music "experts".

I guess Autechre isn't hipster enough, but it saddens me to see the status of the press today, they treat the duo like an old man who doesn't deserve much attention at all, kind of disrespectful for two great pioneers and one of the pivotal pieces of the nineties and so on.
