Convince Me to get a PS3 and not an XBOX

i have both 360 and ps3, for the past two years i've only bought 3 or 4 games for the 360, while in the same time period i've bought 25-30 games for my ps3. im not bashing the 360, it's a great console (except from the high failure rate) with awesome games like the mass effect series, forza motorsport (and hopefully alan wake) etc, still though, imo the ps3 wins.

everything about the ps3 screams quality, while the 360 looks and feels cheap, the interface/menu's etc looks like they were designed by a 12 year old and games are now shipping on 2 discs because of the limited dvd storage space.

also, i rarely, almost never experience any lag on ps3 online, no more or less than on the 360 really.

i don't mean to come off as some fanboy, they're both great consoles, but yeah, ps3. do it.

The reason I bought a ps3 is for MGS4, my favorite series ever. Also because at some point "The Last Guardian" is going to be released on ps3 and ICO ant SOTC are both some of my favorite games. I'm also happy with my purchases of uncharted 2, heavy rain, and demon's souls. I've always been a Playstation guy, starting with PS1, then got a PS2, now I have a ps3. Only games I really feel I may be missing out on are mass effect, halo, splinter cell series, alan wake.(probably a couple I'm missing but nothing I really feel bad about). Otherwise it has mostly the same games, so it really depends on what you feel more comfortable with. Also I like not paying for live play, built in wireless, other little bonuses.

I got both, it's the only way to go.

This is exactly why you don't get an Xbox.

at people trying to say all 360's just red ring of death and die all the time. They have completely optimized the manufacturing of the new 360 hardware and problems are very uncommon now. The red ring of death is covered on warranty to be repaired for free and they are really quick about it.

I mostly play PC games now but I can absolutely say that if you were to go out and by a 360 you wouldn't regret it. If you are even debating it I can bet you don't really want a PS3 because usually the people that truly fit in with its exclusive titles already know that's what they want. I'm no fanboy though, get what you want but dear god don't listen to idiots still trying to say buying a new 360 right now is a bad idea because of the hardware lolz not the case

I have a PS3 for no defensible reason to be honest. Yes, I wanted a 2nd Blu-ray player so I could hook up my Panasonic player in my office, so I guess that's a decent reason.

I thought I was gonna love MGS4 and I literally couldn't play it because of the main character's outfit. Why did they give him a body suit that made it possible to see sores on his rectum? Unbelievable.

God of War 3 is also a horrible reason. You'll get bored in 20 minutes.

PS3 -

Better downloadable games overall if you like things like flower/flow/Pixel Junk. Overall the Xbox live arcade has some definite gems like Braid/Shadow Complex/etc., but not as many cerebral entertainments.

Better controller for fighters

Move coming later this year - could be awesome or wack. But the same goes for Natal.

Integrated Blu-ray - though you already have one, so there's that.

3d support coming soon

Internet Browser

Better for media streaming/media hub overall

No, I have not turned into a PS3 fanboy, still love my xbox, but if you want a reason to buy a PS3, the above would be the things to hold on to for dear life.

Buy whichever one your friends may have. 360 is great for getting together with friends, with cross-game chat and all of that jazz. PS3 has a confusing interface. 360's is very easily navigated through. And the PS3 internet browser is pretty much shit.

I don't really have anything positive to say about PS3. Free online is nice.

But buy both really. That way you won't miss out on any games.
