Looks like they got a whole year to think up some nice McDonalds cups and Burger King toys. Damn I hate when they release a trailer so far ahead of time.

how will they get enough midgets even for a movie about HOBBITS i hope they dont just shrink down the tall ppl like in willy wonkas new version

i didn't expect PJ to kick george lucas' ass twice in the span of a week. He returns to a 10 year old movie franchise and makes it feel *exactly* like the original trilogy, and outdoes crystal skull by collaborating with Spielberg on a proto indiana jones movie

i thik there should be a new hobbit thread cuz the name of this 1 is really weird imo

I hated almost everything else. Hobbit is not read the way Lotr is, it's supposed to be merrier, sillier and stuff.

song in the trailer is fucking terrible. should have just copied the one from the cartoon. about 1000x better.

Also...why does Thorin look about 30yrs old? Dude is nearly 200yrs old in the books. I understand them needing to appeal to younger generations etc, but give me a fucking break. I imagine this movie will be Legolas skateboarding and oliphaunt trunk sliding magnified by a million.

Its all forced perspective anyway isn't it? and I'm sure in lotr they used kids as stand ins. Mixture of those and midgets would be more then enough

anyone know how these movies are going to be divided up? Originally they were going to do the hobbit as one film and make a 2nd bridge film between it and lotr

no im pretty sure its going to be totally mixed up of stuff that was happening in the world during the hobbit time that wasnt told in the book well it was mentioned a bit apparently ??? but not actually told and thats how its gona be 2 movies and i think its gonna be the entire book split in 2 with the extra stuff in both of them

How do you scroll over a film? I don't understand what you're planning on doing in the theaters.
