Which one of you cunts gave Tom the wrong dose/drugs?!

Lol. Though jesting, I sometimes wonder if there's an element of truth in that.

really really like cryptic motion. not exactly what i was expecting for a change of label release. it's just a nice melodic electronic tune to me, as opposed to a banger or something loud and nasty.

just a bit bummed it's only one track. why is it called Shobaleader One if it's only one track called Cryptic Motion. what does it meanz1!

I was thinking it was like a first single with more to come later...

Is it just me or is the last 2-3 minutes of that track totally worthless? I was hoping after finding out that it was 6 minutes that there would be a few nice changeups, but the end just sort of peters out doing the same thing over and over.

I have gathered that Shobaleader One is the artist name, with Cryptic Motion being the single's name.

Maybe because EPs are more catchy than singles ? Dunno if I'll get the 12", spending 10€ for 2 tracks (even massive tracks like these) don't work with my consumer-ethic :emotawesomepm9:

Still, I really can't get enough of Oizo's remix, the track taken in it's entirety is amazing.

Squarepusher has been riding the Jaco Pastorius slap-bass shtick for a few albums now—and I’ll admit it’s kinda worn out it’s welcome—but this new single off his upcoming Shobaleader album for Ed Banger has some focus we’ve not heard from Mr. Jenkins in a minute. And of course, since it’s Ed Banger, Mr. Oizo gives the whole thing a more electro dance floor polish.

I guess we will get the album on october. Hopefully the digital preorder release on bleep will be available september. Remember Hello Everything and Jas were both released in October.

If these are the only tracks on the release, why are they calling it an EP instead of a single?

Yes its strange, sometimes cryptic motion is referred to as the title track of the ep. These 2 Tracks are under 10 min, this should be a 7inch vinyl. I really hope there are additional tracks on it.

And do not forget the decision of Ed Banger to fully preview both tracks. Althought i bet they were not happy about the half hearted radio leak.

you don't understand how vinyl works then: shorter tracks plus physically larger record = louder, better sounding record

I am aware of this, and i foolishly wrote this should be a 7inch. Instead i meant there is the possibility that it could be a 7inch single.

And considering the vinyl will not be faster then 45 rpm. Keep in mind that:

12" @45 RPM:

OPTIMAL - 9 minutes per side

MAXIMUM - 15 minutes per side

Both Tracks combined are about 10 mins long. That would be half of the duration of a high quality non extended ep.

any anyone guess the lyrics?

based on the lyrics the burglar posted earlier:

Plain placement,

words fall forever more.

That is nothing, but excessive motion.

I heard that,

Eyes hold you entranced.

It is something that can't be broken.

This journey,

???? looking ???

That is nothing, you aspire to go alone too.

Behold this,

Strange extravagance.

There is something that can't be denied you.

I'll be damned if I can figure out that third verse though. I hear "femur" at the end of the second line. I don't think that's right somehow.
