Quite possible actually, wonder if Richie was cracking a joke at this quietus article.

In actuality I imagine that he meant it when he said it and things were just too complicated and it didn't workout then. Or he was misquoted so that the article would get hyped.

I honestly feel everything being said in the cwlp thread is genuine and not misleading. Everything from the aphex shirts being resold on Aphex' official facebook, to him not touring this year... the cwlp, comment about back catalogue being sold again etc all point towards a new release being worked on/prepared.
