I'm kinda skeptical about this release. Hoping it lives up to the class of previous releases. Can't wait to hear it really. It'll be good to see a band set up for his tour. Something different, you know.

:doge: Jet fuel can't melt dank memes :doge:

Squarepusher is clearly falling off his rocker....

The basic premise at the outset was 'space pop' - a utopian pop music hallucination. It's a stand against the affectation of knowing indifference in urban life and its corollary in music. I've always wanted to sabotage coolness as for me music is about laughing and crying, not about standing around smoking cigarettes.

Man that track would be soooo much better without that super forward in the mix, terrible vocal effect. What the fuck is that?

I enjoy the fragility of the rolling lol tbh. The broken lol is like our own mortality staring us in the face, reminding us to enjoy that sunset.

Yeah, man. This is the shit! I'm officially really fucking excited for this release. And that preview vid/solo makes a LOT more sense in the context of the whole song.

The vocals give me a headache, they're far too loud and jarring, not to mention unoriginal.

That's pretty disappointing since I really liked the teaser.

erm, this is the same song as the one in the teaser

I realize that, but the teaser didn't have any vocals. Hence why I was disappointed when the full song differed somewhat drastically from the teaser.

They are too loud indeed.

opinions aside about the actual music on SP's latest few releases, the mixing/mastering/sound quality has been severely lacking, and this one sounds no different from the 2 songs thus far released. so yes, i very much agree your statement.

I think TJ's a fan of Naruto:

especially Tobi (the dude in the back of the left row).

I liked Cryptic Motion more than Megazine. More excited about seeing this live than any record they might put out to be honest.

i loved criptic motion and the demonstrator preview... it really seemed like he was back on his game...

but now this video ruined it for me...

that guitar is totally stupid...

and the arrangement is booooorrriinngnggg

Maybe he'll tour with a full band, but definitely didn't record this album with a full band. He's done much more immaculate things by himself. He doesn't need 4 extra guys to hit a chord a few times a minute, or make a tinny beat on a real drum set.
