Scientology is responsible for all of the weird sex cults in Hollywood. I can only assume. If Brian Singer wants some lil kiddies to do coke with by the pool, he's got the Scientology pedo hotline ready.

hah, yes. pretty much identical to this:

scientology would be a lot less evil without david miscavige and his cronies...i'm not defending it or anything, but the majority of scientologists are probably just lost souls looking for some answers (albeit very stupid ones). it's the dudes at the top who are scary and power hungry etc... a bit like every other fucking religion on the planet.

could be. a counterargument could be that the people who currently end up being scientologists do so because of the cronies at the top. call it mutual attraction, if you will. take away the current cronies, and the institution will produce another couple of cronies just because the sheeple at the bottom need the dictators at the top. kinda like al qaida.

I hope this guy doesn't have a real chance of getting elected, I doubt it with all of those skeletons in his closet. And scientosophy is really unpopular with the majority of Pinellas County residents, they remember Lisa McPherson, and the others that have died in that cult's care.

Leah Remini really took the "church" to task on ABC News tonight. finally a celebrity that's not afraid to speak their mind about this lunatic cult, she is promoting her book obviously. Of course, she will have a private security detail protecting her for the rest of her life, just like Katie Holmes.

Somebody drove through the front of the Church O' Scientology in Austin, backed out and drove away. It must have been deliberate; there's little chance someone could have careened that far from the street, dodging all the parked cars.

They probably really needed to fart.

Interesting movement to observe for sure.

I took the online Scientology personality test back when I was studying Scientology, watching all docus I could find, following Tony ortega's site etc. And was subsequently called up by a Scientologist regarding my test, the results of which I could see if I went down to the local COS office.

I ended up having to block the guy's number after asking him not to call again. And this is just from taking a simple online test. A test which is evidently rigged, weighing negative answers higher than positive ones so as to make you seem even more in need of their tech.

So that's what you get when you poke the wasp's nest I guess.

Here's a little docu following a group of Scientology freezoners, people who practice the teachings of LRH outside the COS.

It's quite an interesting aspect of Scientology and seems to be a trend amongst ex members, including Marty Rathbun who continue to use auditing outside the realm of Miscavige.

Scientology v.2 The Reformation

Unlike a therapist, who wants you on their schedule until retirement, an Auditor actively plots to move you past you're road blocks and wants to help you stop being affected by memories of parental beatings, embarrassments etc. If you told them about shitting your pants you can feel confident that they wont judge you for it. These people are kind of like robots with technical methods and opinions. That's an ideal therapy recipe in my book. Only problem is, when you unload your problems it's supposed to put them in the past. If you feel like there may be an audio recording of that floating around then those ghosts could come back to haunt. The whole thing tickles my OCD in the right way. It's as close to THX 1138 that we have here on earth.

Was just visiting a friend who lived near their behemoth headquarters. And couldnt believe they literally light up those letters at night.. Time to watch going clear.

Now that I think of it, reminds me of another guy who likes to put huge letters across their edifice:

Yeah, I think the phone number was a requirement, and I wasn't gonna back out just because of that. It was quite funny actually cause the guy wasn't even being very persuasive and just rattling on about the supposed merits of Narconon vs. the medicine industry. I asked him about his thoughts on LRHs early sci fi novels but he hadn't read any of them. All in all an experience which verified what I had previously read about the movement.

A friend of mine's sister was accosted on the street as a young teenager and made to take a personality test (On abbey street in dublin, folks from there of a certain age will know the jerk responsible - I gave him a death stare every day coming home from school to catch my bus). They locked her in the test room and wouldn't let her out until she agreed to sign some forms with her address on, was in tears over the thing. I think their family house still receives shit in the post to this day (or up to relatively recently at any rate).
