alright, i'll give it another chance. i like the visual style quite a bit but i'm not sure the music can live up to it. i'll check those links post three year old birthday party this evening.

yeah, I don't really think this is a very cohesive genre....

it's pretty much darkwave without the smugness, and replaced with a more punk rock attitude...

not as bad as my first run through, but it seems a bit self-conscious to me. the visual style is the more impressive part to me. i think i like the stuff these folks are clearly influenced by more then the music they produce, but maybe it'll grow

i'm just getting into this genre... any solid albums that you guys can suggest? i like ooooo and water borders. haven't listened to anything else.

waterboarders is literally the only 'solid' witch house production i've heard in existence, the rest is passable but bedroom produced sounding with unintentional distortion. If i find anymore ill let you know.

Actually I was very interested in that particular music when it came up... but these days I'm quite let-down. Nothing new happens, they turn around themselves and turn around and add some more reverb. Well... I had higher hopes.

thing about salem is i really enjoyed their album and eps but holy lord live is such an embarassment that it kind of turned me right off. they have a new album coming soon, it will be interesting to see what they do with it.

and ghOsty, I am not sure that witch house is even a genre now, pretty much just all in the Lo Fi category now, but yes Clams would be considered lo fi, Crosses does not fit in these categories, from what I have listened to, and I am the foremost authority on all things Lo Fi.
