Definitely some good stuff posted already. I've been impressed with Knxwledge lately.

I checked out Knxwledge's album when it came out and after a few spins, wasn't impressed at all.

Did you check the Skrawberries album on the Bandcamp link? Mainly short sketches/beats but pretty nice...

Nope, just the Klouds album. And it's not that it sucked, it just didn't offer anything worthwhile that I couldn't get from other artists/albums. Maybe the fact that it's too many short sketches/beats puts me off a little when it's a new artist. They need to develop that stuff a little further into something more substantial I think.

i'm digging on the Klouds album by Kxwledge

so much stuff to hear. Dimlite is possibly my favorite out of all them, just for sheer creativity

I'm surprised no one mentioned any stuff by 10-20 especially his EP series off of Highpoint lowlife here - http://boomkat.com/downloads/256536-10-20-isthmus

also Dr. Strangeloop takes the cake for me for Brainfeeder's best stuff. Ras G is pretty damn good too

if no one has heard Dr. Strangeloop's debut LP i highly recommend it here - http://boomkat.com/downloads/203649-dr-strangeloop-are-we-lost-mammals-of-an-approaching-transcendental-epoch

i was lucky enough to get both of them to participate in the upcoming 2disc RecrordLabelRecords compilation

it does have similarities to some of the other more experimental stuff on brainfeeder i think, but it's hard to keep track of genre rules these days.

Samiyam is becoming my favorite in the whole scene. his album is the most organic of all of them. and it's totally unique. it's like green eggs and ham sliding down the coolest fucking wall in downtown manhattan. it's like the Grinch strutting slowly through the boulevard.

Been listening to this Branfeeder "take over" session. Nice little sets by almost everyone in the crew and some great live jams with Austin Peralta, Thundercat and Flylo.

this is great: http://boomkat.com/vinyl/108332-samiyam-return-ep

I like this album a lot: http://www.cokemachineglow.com/record_review/3416/samiyam

yeah I was gonna say Rap Beats Vol. 1.

also, Cokemachineglow is my favorite music criticism site going right now. i enjoy their long writeups and general knowledge/understanding of what they review. even when they're off it's nice.

i just tried the Dr. Strangeloop stuff last night. very interesting.

that Samiyam stuff is better than a lot of other 8-bit /electronic stuff i hear these days. but lets move on from 8bit now, onto 16-bit i say motawesomepm9:

Samiyam seems a bit late to the game, it all sounds similar to other 'wonky' hiphop people. Nosaj Thing is really good though. Tokimonsta played a show with another lady under the alias Analogue Monsta, pretty fucking awesome show.
