I know this is lame but

I didn't mention Cubase because it's way over my head. I know lots of peeps swear by it, but it just seems super convoluted to me. I guess I just don't jive with the devs' intended workflow. Also, WINDOWS WINDOWS WINDOWS. So many windows. FL Studio too. Fuck that shit.

And drawing your own curves sounds like an unnecessary bit of extra work. I don't want to draw 10-20 points to make a smoothish parabola when it should only take three points and be perfect.

Cubase is for Mac and Windows.

And ya, that's what I'm saying. If you want your automation to sound exponential instead of linear three or 4 points usually does it. it's still gonna look like 3 or 4 lines at different angles but you are never going to hear the difference between that and something that has a perfect curve between them. Of course, it depends on the resolution you are working at as well.

Not disagreeing with you, I just have never found it to hinder my workflow in ableton. Would be a nice addition though.

I use cubase on my mac, I like it and don't find it convoluted. it does have MIDI sync problems with external gear though, so I'm going to move over to logic soon.
