See you guys are smart, I remember breaking my parents shit when I was a kid and things weren't going my way and...well actually I was grounded for misbehaving... I don't know about but that, but I'm sure throwing fire extuingishers and breaking windows will get something done. Even if it's just the inevitable construction repairs.

This isn't really my argument, but you're saying that there's no difference in destroying an object, and destroying a living thing? Or are you just taking the piss?

 

Any action has an infinite number of possible outcomes. The highest likely outcomes help predict the doer's decision. The decision's consequences are part of the equation of the action.

 

The thing is, in situations like these, it's better for the group that wants change to not hurt anyone. It only brings bad press. So throwing a fire extinguisher off a building is a pretty piss poor decision, eh?

I agree that throwing a fire extinguisher off a building is piss poor decision. I also think breaking shop windows is piss poor form.

To clarify to both of you: I am not justifying the throwing of the fire extinguisher. I am decrying the act of breaking the window, as I believe those sorts of acts diminish us as a society. So far no one has been able to justify breaking the window.

Of course the consequences of the acts are different: the intrinsic value of the acts is the same.

sirch, what a depressing out-look you have. Youre equating education to money and as such have bought into the shit they tell you with out even realising it. Poverty is more than how much you have in your bank account, its about aspirations, education, social standing and a bunch of other intangible things. Your way is to extend the poverty gap, with only the rich allowed to access these things and unless youre well off and selfish, it all sound like turkeys voting for christmas again.

You need to clarify youre last sentence, im guessing its to do with a lack of free thought, thats what masters are for.
