this is my favourite (of his remixes), one of his most beautiful composions. it's not much talked about since it's a bit of rarity.

His percussion style is pretty similar sounding back on his mid 90s-era stuff innit (I would say 'samey' but that's a bit harsh)

these are all very nice and pretty unknown to me. (the beck remix is pretty known)

I was expecting a link to a genealogy programme on iplayer.

the OP sounds like he used the same synth as he did on SAWII's Curtains (i think that was the one?)

I think he chooses tracks to remix based solely on how ominous the titles are in the right context

Picked it up on vinyl years ago for the princely sum of 2 pound 50 pence. Only played it a couple of times but is on my local jukebox so gets played on there a lot. Love it.

Thanks for sharing the Saint Etienne and Soft Ballet remixes. I had never heard of those either. Now downloading flacs

Apparently a bootleg(?) 12" just came out with this remix, as well as Autechre's remix of a Saint Etienne track—anybody able to locate this online yet?
