are the books worth reading?

they are long winded and humourless, but nicely brutal and the stories great. i have a habit of getting hooked on wanting to know what happens next. having said that this tv series is literally going to last about 10 years, the story is so fuckin long. there are three to go aswell.

Yeh it's weird cos all the kids in it are going to grow up in the show. The crippled Stark boy has already has grown up a lot

Gurrm is going to die before completing all the books.

What helmet are you wearing when you watch it? You have to wear an orange motorcycle helmet usually, although you can get away with a medieval knight helmet as long as you rubbed butter on the top.

And this is the most action packed book, you'll hate it when they do AFOC and ADWD, those books are so long winded, nothing happens, the only good thing about those two books is the Greyjoys storyline (that will look amazing on the show with the ocean and the waves, etc)

When they get to AFOC and ADWD the smart thing to do would be to get rid of 80 percent of it and just do it all in one season.

Excellent episode. Theon's storyline is all that i wished for and that ending, wosh. This season will get better and better, i have faith that the showrunners will execute the two main events from the 1st half of ASOS to perfection.

Next episode will be action packed!

I was so disappointed by the last book that I stopped watching this.

only up to the first episode this season, but i need more Giants. that Giant was awesome. How do they do that?

i cant believe this hasnt actually been spoiled all over facebook by trolls who have read the book yet.

I've just started watching this, on to the second series now, It does get a bit confusing at times (I haven't read the books- deal with it) but its seems aiiite.

It's a bit violent to women mind....

Edit: the name Joffry makes me feel physically sick.

It's violent to any living creature on the fictional planet, aiiite. There's also quite an amount of powerful women in there. So I don't think this series matches the old fashioned sexist label.

Now, where is that wooden chair leg?

haha yeah, it is good to see 'powerful female leads' I did also find the fact that if you rape a girl enough she will eventually love you, which is nice (learnt helplessness?)

Also (this accounts for all TV) no man can surely just go in without any 'warm up' it like DOB said 'oh baby I like it rawwww' but I digress....

It was quite full on after watching over 30 hours of X files... (I'm on series four nearly on five, mulder is a riight creepy porn creep)
