ohhhh shit that new Kvelertak is NICE. wasn't feeling the first song much but by the end i was way into it. those last 2 tracks are things of beauty (& destruction)!

thoughts on the new Nails? it sounds muddier than their previous 2 albums. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

dunno why this thread has died off. anyway, the new Nails has clicked for me and I'm loving it. it's definitely thicker and sludgier than the previous two, which takes a bit of getting used to, but when you do it's great. still think Abandon All Life is my fave though.

also the new Sumac is fab! I get the feeling that even with a minimal trio setup, Aaron Turner is pushing after Isis in a new and esoteric direction that is spiritually similar to Isis' material. it's quite idm, actually.

I recently heard The Body and really liked it and decided I need to seek out some more...chamber doom? Pessimismcore? (I'm not up on my metal sub-subgenres)

Anyway...what should I thrown on next?

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

I saw Dragged Into Sunlight play last Friday and they were incredible. Cult Leader and Primitive Man opened. Highly recommended all of them if you get the chance to see them

Been listening to the following a lot recently that I don't think I'd seen posted:

Batushka - Litourgiya

Black/doom

Vastum - Hole Below

Old school death. Fantastic album, great atmosphere

Their previous album Patricidal Lust is solid too

Also been listening to the new Nails. Super heavy, fun album
