lol does he really sing in the LP?

:cerious:

In every track. James Blake is a fucking sellout, man. Just have a listen and feel disappointed.

i am scared now.

will listen to it anyway

lol, that makes no sense, how does that make him sell out?

I basically agree with KY. First off, Burial is extremely overrated in my mind. His music is very good, but still, Blake tops it with ease. More dynamics, more progression, more entertaining. It's not as atmospheric, but I'm not an atmosphere person.

Second, I don't like either of them that much anyway.

Third, I think his singing is very good and that this style is extraordinarily hip. It's smooth, cool sounding, and the girls are going to love it. I can see this guy getting very big, if only among the indie crowd.

That's my take, forgive me for deviating from popular WATMM opinion, I'm trying to present another side of this.

I have got to get out my opinion here

as I think this is one of the most awesome things I have heard in a while.

Fuck the hipness or whatever concerns you may have with the popular opinions concerning this man.

His EPs to this point this year have drawn an amazingly gifted and sensual picture

and the LP is just perfect in the progression of James style.

I will be buying this music for sure as I can say it has touched and impressed me very much.

Hype is no good point of reference.

James Blake is awesome and this LP ist friggin swell.

Carry on.

I didn't see you in the conversation until I posted a random image—just curious what your stance is on the discussion.

I can't really say anything at all about James Blake as I haven't listened to any of his music yet. I just found it funny that the guy who took that picture actually went out and got a license plate that says "You Mad".

was expecting huge, rewound, 800% slowed down r & b on r & s. the new direction is

alright but i'm definitely not going a big soft one like other folk.

some of it's alright

James Blake is extremely hyped right now... and come on!!! he really doesnt deserve it...

i just heard the new album... and have given a chance to process... the first half of the record is horrible... truly...

after Limit To Your Love things get a little better but still... he certainly didnt deliver up to his hype...

sites like pitchfork are really pushing him just to be hip and appear on top of things.

i dont think calling him a sell out because hes singing is fair... i mean... LET ARTIST EVOLVE AS THEY PLEASE!!!!

i like his use of silences... i think that dam clever this day in age...

but his output is between good/mediocre/bad

i really like this. along with mount kimbie, one of the only people doing something interesting with the bass music template... can't see too many caspa or rusko fans liking it though, lol.

dude really knows how to use silence properly.
