nothing exposes your soul like a limp handshake. you are shifty, insecure and cannot be trusted.

while a firm lingering handshake with eye contact is almost as uniting and intimate as sexual intercourse.

I was thinking about this yesterday, strangely. Some guy gave me and a few of my friends the most mysterious handshake. Here i am thinking about it roughly 8 years later.

I used to know somebody who wouldn't even grab or shake your hand, just sorta put his forward into your own ready to shake hand, let it linger for a sec and then remove it.

Annoyed me to no end.

I hate handshakes. Go in with the left or an "on the side" high five. Fuck them up.

How does WATMM feel about shaking hands with a woman?

I often have to do this when meeting new clients, very professional. The only issue is that women have tiny hands and I don't want to break them with my large, powerful manshake. Earlier on I shook hands with a new female client and it was surprisingly a surprisingly firm handshake.

Little fist bump then use a sanitising wipe.

shake em hard like you would a man. don't ever lower yourself to a limp handshake for anyone regardless of age or gender. if she has a problem with you crushing her bones she shouldn't be in business.

Anyone else that hates dealing with this firm manly shake posturing I recommend you clasp the fingers and contort the hand of your opponent into the classic "kissing a lady's hand" position, even with the lightest shake you've still claimed dominance during this bout.

this also reveals insecurities... this person's deep seated feelings of inadequacy force him to try and dominate you during the handshake process. a sharp, forceful tug downwards will disengage his grasp and throw him off balance, sending him staggering into your bosom and bowing to your superiority.

shaking hands with men makes me feel like some kind of hypermasculine jock, this little ritual is charged with some kind of chauvinistic energy i despise, so i try to avoid it.

love handshaking women though, much better than cheek kissing, unfortunately it's not acceptable on most occasions

My feelings about handshakes stem from my first business shakes. Sitting in a room with some rich guys, them laughing and telling me how worthless their clients are as I sit smiling politely. When it came to seal the deal I was thinking, "this handshake means nothing, these guys are shits." and I was right. They screwed the stupider 17 year old me out of most of my money. Now, years later I still see mangled elements of things I did for them showing up in web banner ads. So this devaluing of the handshake makes me wonder. Men and women of their word need something new.

Does anyone else give women a nice square peck on the mouth when meeting them? It's a great move. Sometimes they quickly move their head to convert it to a peck on the cheek but that's where it's best to quickly counter that again, so you are kissing them right on the mouth. They love it.

but yea, handshakes are important. if they lack respect, it'll show.

I dont actually do that. It's just something i believe that everyone should do at all times.

A kiss on the cheek is perfectly alright! Even men should get a little peck on the cheek.

But when it comes to handshakes I give a firm handshake. I fucking hate it when people hand me five dead sausages.

I shake hand firmly with the right while gently caressing their ear with the other. Then give them a few pats on the face and slide my hand down the side of their face when done.

how about when you give a woman a friendly hello or goodbye hug? many women found it confusing when I accompany it with a kiss on the cheek!

I try to, but it's a complex manoeuvre as you have to sneak your hand in there to pull down the hijab, they get really pissed off if they get saliva on it.

I try to work on points for style. Like the club tie, and the firm handshake, a certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

i have a firm shake but i have a bad habit of looking at the handshake as it transpires....its hard to shake hands and remember to look in the man's eyes.
