The movie fails on so many levels! Just one example: there's a scene where the protagonist sees the sun for the first time (look above), and her reaction was something like, 'Is that... the sun?' Five seconds later, it's like, 'Heh, okay! Next!' Many illogical reactions, immediate and life decisions, unbelievable characters... like everything can pass but not really. Everything feels half-baked and on top of that generally mediocre! 

The only thing I liked was how the interior design resembled the game Alien: Isolation. There were lots of gadgets referencing the game, which looked cool but weren't exactly original. There were a few original elements related to the Xenomorph, but in my opinion, they didn't add much. I just can't believe how unoriginal the world has become. Sad! Very SAD!

For someone who hasn't seen Alien and Aliens could even be watchable.
