Yeah, well sorry to sound like a nazi but I would like for watmm projects to be taken seriously. If there are no ground rules, no filtering, no agreements or at least a war cry to make sure no one half asses their interpretation than the compilation could very well have a few skippers. I dunno about you but skippers make me sad.

I've played bass almost as much I have played guitar the last 10 years but I'm no slap funk speed king. If anyone needs help with some small stuff I would be happy to record some bass for their interpretation. I am quite refined at this point in getting pro quality, relevant bass/guitar tones.

Theres also the question of who get on it? Should everyone who enters a track get on it or should we judge it. And who should judge it? I mean if I wasnt so interested in doing my own cover Id be able to judge but Id be biased now.

We could have everyone vote. If you enter a track you get to vote. Our we could have the entirety of WATMM vote by putting it in gen ban.

Go Plastic ... there is no way I could remix those tracks to make them any better, so I didn't bother voting for it. You guys are brave.

Just to be clear, my understanding is what we would be doing would be more aptly described as covers right? I assumed it would be a rule that we could not sample even a millisecond of Tom Jenkinson's work in our reproductions.

I wouldn't sample the original. I would basically make my own version of the track. Starting by not making it so goddamn long.

I'd for sure also be down with anything of Shobaleader, and that may be more along the lines of my skills-- no way I could pull off any of the drum programming in Go Plastic.

I think we should feel free to change the style of the song in our covers. If we do Go Plastic, the covers don't all have to involve crazy drum programming.
