Clarks track is dubstep crap for the 1st half. Then the 2nd half is pretty good. Then it ends.

I love Take Off Your Shirt, but I understand why it isn't going over well on watmm. Anyway, carry on

I can see why most people hate Take Off Your Shirt, but at the same time it's the one track on the album that I can't get out of my head. I think my cheese detector is failing in my old age.

..it's definitely by far the worst thing i've heard this year. terrible song. makes me want to scratch my face off !

Just a heads up that it's very unlike the rest of Bibio's material, not a good representation of his sound at all.

Yes, it is actually the worst representation of his sound.

there's no way i'd ever come into contact with anything like that in my normal daily life.

i don't watch MTV or even much tv at all... or listen to the radio.. except sometimes in the evenings when i'm driving somewhere...

never heard that before and never want to again!

and yeah i assume Bibio has done better tracks than that... they can't all be that bad.

i heard some snippet samples of his new album before.. but wasn't really diggin it much tbh.

it seemed a bit too poppy and clean to me, and like somebody else said before there's a lot of mixture of styles,

it's almost like he doesn't know what he wants to be, so he's going for a bit of everything and trying to be uber-modern-cool,

which is just a bit rubbish... imho :)

I never heard any of his Duckular stuff, but wasn't that more like MPC based beat stuff? Can't fault Bibio for throwing all his musical interests together, don't we all like different types of music? Why shouldn't recording artists as well, and take that into their recording process? I'd prefer that to him using aliases for releasing music in different styles, that idea seems a little old. And if he can't decide what he wants to be then all power to him, better than him being burnt out and just treading water.

i still like this idea a lot, even if it is considered to be a bit cliche and old now.

as for Bibio, i guess i'm just not a fan.. it's all a bit too 'Skins soundtrack', for me. T4...on the beach, kids TV type background music.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree there dude, to each their own and all. Me being an old cunt, I find Bibio's stuff on the whole to be the antithesis of all that 'Skins/T4' type shit (which I'm guessing you dislike as much as me).

aye i do.

i should check out some more Bibio i spose, but what i've heard so far just hasn't been my bag really.

..apart from the track here on the split 12" ! of course. that one's alright.

lol, ok I feel like I have to set you straight because this really does not sound like most Bibio. I love Bibio but really disliked that album because of tracks like that. Almost all Bibio before last year sounds something like this. It may not be your thing either but he mainly made folk music until recently.
