What I did say is that I cannot, in 30 minutes, make an acid track that I want people to associate with me.

this is where the argument went sour. He might be able to do something good, but realized he doesn't work this way in the first place and would rather not produce piss. It's totally possible he could do better, yes, but that is not what it is about to him, especially as a guy who is all about acid and has probably a very established way of doing it. I don't think he thinks of it as stooping to a level, it's just not his style. I'm sure he gives mad props the skills and style of people in this thread who did produce and acknowledges. It's his choice basically, but I don't think we have the right to make assumptions based off of it. He's certainly not saying this to make a point or attack those who have already participated, which is probably the main issue you are taking offense against, Hathahat.

You imply I'm above the experience and advice of others, but in fact I respected Awepittance's advice and decided that my current conversion is good enough for my current situation. Clearly we have different definitions for "egotistical blathering." It's pretty well known to anyone with open eyes and ears that I focus mainly on acid music. Some of my friends urged me to join in. I tried making a track in 30 minutes, could not and decided to share my failure with the board. I fail to see the arrogance in that.
