Aphex Twin Canadian IDM?

Hello all. My name is Vito Cusumano, I'm an audio engineering intern in Windsor, Ontario. I'm starting a brand new intelligent dance music radio show on our university radio station, 99.1 FM CJAM

We are required by law to play a certain amount of "Cancon" (Canadian content) before a specific hour of the day.

In other words, I need to have more intelligent dance music, braindance, acid house, breakcore, etc, from Canadian artists, if I want to host this show at a reasonable hour. It doesn't have to even be strictly IDM. I use the term very loosely. I'm going to be playing all sorts of electronic music, with a focus around the intelligent dance music style. Even if there's any interesting Canadian electronic music that I could fit in, it would work.

Other than the obvious Venetian Snares, does anybody have any suggestions? Do you know of any Canadian IDM artists? I also got a hold of some tracks by Fanny, who is also from Winnipeg, but still, if I want my show to continue, I'll need a lot more.

There's another IDM show at the station by an artist in my city named Kero, but his show is at 2AM in the morning. Ideally I'd like my program to be on earlier, so I'd need some more Canadian content. Interesting tidbit: apparently last year Kero did a show with Aphex Twin in Europe. I'd like to meet him somtime. Maybe he'd know some artists I could play.

Any suggestions people?

Secret Mommy is my favourite Canadian electronic musician, he's from Vancouver, did some cool sampling stuff. Square Root of Evil is really good too and from Vancouver. Vancouver has a wide variety of electronic music so really you should just look into more because I don't know exactly what style you want to play. (IDM is a broad term these days)

For other Canadian electronic music you should check labels like alien8 or constellation that might have them. I make electronic music too but it might be too crazy for the radio haha. ;)
