20 second samples repeated untill the song reaches the 10 minutes mark? For 45 pounds? No thanks.

You have just severely underrated one of the greatest albums of all time. Honestly, if that's really what you think of tracks like [rhubarb], [stone in focus] or [lichen], there's something seriously wrong with you.

Fanboy taking the bait lol

Jesus Christ... less than five hours to go and only one bid! It's still at £45!

Is it leading up to a ridiculous spike at the end? Only time will tell...

why sad face? it's not that limited (there were at least two runs of the brown vinyl) and it sounds like shit.

Ah, alright. Well I'd really like to get a hold of a regular black pressing. I adore that album.

So the regular edition is the rare edition, and the special edition is not rare and sounds like shit? The regular edition is rarer than the special edition? That's a revolution in marketing

I was thinking the same thing.

actually, yes you have it spot on.

the regular edition of the vinyl is the rarer version since there was only one pressing on standard black vinyl. there were three pressings of the brown version (at least one of the pressings was 10,000 copies. not that limited), and as is the case with pretty much all of Warp's coloured vinyl pressings, they sound like shit.

lol £51 for that.

£51 is actually quite expensive for a sticker.

so was this for collectors or what? are you not supposed to play this #0000000003?

i can't imagine buying things for the purpose of leaving them on a shelf. i'd want to play the record, and i wouldn't pay $100 for it. i'd have to find it in some used store for cheap, it would be like the stars aligned, then i'd know i had no choice.... but some low# edition for $lots on ebay doesn't quite have the magic required

can someone who has/had the brown vinyl provide some samples of the quality? i'd like to hear how it sounds like shit, especially since there's not really much top end in the digital version of the album.

i'm honestly asking because i'm thinking of buying a copy and the only complete copies on discogs at the moment are of the brown vinyl.

i don't own the brown SAWII but i have the silver incunabula, and like almost all of the coloured Warp releases, it sounds like shit. loads of surface noise, and there are actual chunks and holes in the grooves. i'll make a recording of that if you like so you can hear how bad they sound.

as i said earlier, it is a commonly known fact among collectors that most of the coloured Warp vinyl pressings are really bad quality
