ooh, would love to hear a recording, thanks.

i wonder why it's just warp's coloured vinyl that sucks? defects in the substrates?

Kalpol Introl from the silver version of Incunabula

i must stress that this record is in mint condition, no scratches or user damage. it is as it came from the pressing factory.

Eh, that's not horrible. I could stand that. I was expecting it to sound watered-down or too treble-y. It's just really crackly.

I highly recommend selling this item on Discogs M- to a discriminating customer, provide audio samples where the rubber hits the road, embroil the customer in a fizzy PalPal dispute after he or she returns the album.

can someone who has/had the brown vinyl provide some samples of the quality? i'd like to hear how it sounds like shit, especially since there's not really much top end in the digital version of the album.

i'm honestly asking because i'm thinking of buying a copy and the only complete copies on discogs at the moment are of the brown vinyl.

i don't own the brown SAWII but i have the silver incunabula, and like almost all of the coloured Warp releases, it sounds like shit. loads of surface noise, and there are actual chunks and holes in the grooves. i'll make a recording of that if you like so you can hear how bad they sound.

as i said earlier, it is a commonly known fact among collectors that most of the coloured Warp vinyl pressings are really bad quality

Were Quoth/Surfing on Sine Waves clear vinyl shit as well? Or was it limited to coloured? Got them but someone broke my stylus.

my copy of clear Quoth actually sounds alright compared to silver Incunabula. higher than average surface noise, but no-where near as bad as Incunabula.
