The lack of Kopitar and Brown will hurt the Kings chances to advance. And Niemi is for once a proven goalie in the playoffs, so the Sharks might finally get rid of their choker label, despite Thornton being such a bum in the post-season.

As for the Nucks-Hawks series, the signs are that the Nucks will finally be able to exorcise the the Hawks demons. They have more depth this time, while the Hawks have a poor bottom six and some injuries that doesn't help them. Although the Nucks also won the first game the last two seasons and it all worked out for the Hawks in the end. If the Hawks manage to win game 2 the series might go on for longer, but if the Nucks get a 2-0 lead, I find it doubtful that this series would go more than 5 games.

As a bitter Blues fan, I come to say fuck the Canucks:

We had our best start in franchise history...then lost basically our whole top line for half the season. Next year looks extremely promising.

As far as this years playoffs..I think I'll root for the Caps..they have a ton of depth and I think it's finally time they put it all together. After an off year by Ovechkin, I expect big things out of him in the playoffs.

I like the Kings too, I feel like they are in a similar situation to the Blues with a blossoming rebuild and a lot of good young talent.

dont blame losing your top line for most of the season.. look at the penguins. they managed to get in the plays offs with out a bunch of players for most of the season. babys penguins for 15 games or so.

hope the sabres lose. tired of seeing fb updates saying "go buffalo" over and over.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

Will the Canucks complete a sweep tonight? Hawks are so banged up that I doubt they can win a game. Will be interesting to see the injuries the players are playing with. It's either Anaheim or Nashville the Nucks will be facing in the second round, whoever it is, it ought to be interesting. Will the annual bookings of the golf tees come up for the Nucks the same time as last year?

I had to watch the Habs lose, whilst the Boston announcers were so unprofessional, I wanted to punch someone.

w00t, the Hawks live to fight another day with a proper beating of the Nucks, who started to goon it up as soon as Scott got sent off for not doing anything. Fuck the refs. "The Rat" returned with a good night earning 4pts and Luongo got chased, he doesn't really have a stellar record when it comes to elimination games, now with his team being in the driver's seat. The hope still lives, but I am doubtful the Nucks will bend over as they did in the next game. Will cherish this victory anyways as it exposed that the Nucks can be discombobulated and aren't as invincible as they might have appeared.

though last night (april 19th) was incredibly embarassing i still do not see the hawks coming back from a 3-1 deficeit. canucks will win the series and move on. what i am curious about is if detroit manages a sweep! they have been playing well and, honestly, are the only team i am afraid of come playoffs which puts the nucks in a good spot in my mind. i was traveling yesterday so i only saw the game up until the midway point of the second period, a few minutes after the 2 goals in 17 seconds mark. still, a pathetic loss but that doesn't mean the nucks ain't in an awesome position to destroy chicago. fuck the hawks. watching detroit and pheonix right now, 3-3 at the moment, near he end of the 2nd.

Essines has, and always will remind me of MacReady.

Detroit swept the Coyotes, which was probably the last game for them in Phoenix if the rumors about the franchise moving to Winnipeg are true.

I also don't think the Hawks can come back from a 3-1 deficit as they are pretty banged up, but I do hope they will make it interesting and make the Nucks sweat a little.

that phoenix rumor has been going around for a few years, and im glad finally something is going to happen about it. I think they need to move back to Winnipeg, they have a young side which like edmonton and LA to an extent will be great teams in a few years, so its exciting for all of hockey if winnipeg come back with a challenging team.

Now..while we are at it, cant wait for the day they bring the whalers back ;)
