What's the first track? Unreleased?

OK, that is pretty great. And it seems like it's his, because that kind of baby-squeak sample noise he's definitely used on other songs.

But, more to the point fucken LOL @ James: Richard D's TECHNOLOGY STUDENT IDENTIFICATION CARD, what's with that hair, he looks like he's in Ride, I <3 1989

Nice find.

Yeah, that resonant bassline instrument definitely sounds like one he's used a lot recently (Ziggomatic V17, Synthacon 9, the Metz track, etc). To my ears at least, they sound like slighlty different variants but have some kinda similar twang to them. I have no idea what model of filter that is, but I can see why he likes it so much. Hmm, it's just starting to occur to me how recent Drukqs isn't... I'm old...

Although I'm still convinced the main point of this site is to give visitors nightmares with all the weird images, and that Aphex Twin's still winning in this regard if this video's anything to go by.

It doesn't quite sound like any of the DX7 presets I've heard, although now you mention it, yeah, I can see the similarity. Maybe it's a custom patch, or another FM based synth, or I just haven't heard enough DX7 presets? I'm in awe of anyone who can program in a patch using FM synthesis, anyway.

well theres lots of ppl here on watmm that could tell you more about it, I don't want to embarrass myself to much, but I think its not a very characteristic sound of a certain synth, it can be reproduced by many, more or less accurate. I think it has been used during the 90s in detroit pretty often, but that time disappears behind a cloud of smoke and imbecility for me, so I can't post examples, but I love that sound everytime I hear it.

Y'know, Cern's avatar reminded me... this kind of bassline sound is on Analord 02 quite a bit too, such as in Laricheard and Bwoon Dub. I never noticed until now just how much RDJ uses this kind of twangy, bubbly bassline sound in his various different tracks, which is odd considering how nice and smooth it is.
