(people where assuming he did announce a new album which he was not instead he was promoting a some band he produced by misleadingly posting it in a way everybody assumed he was releasing a new album)

i know you are right to some extend but i'll tryy to explain myself. i guess it was mainly my disappointment with your last album which i didn't find nearly as touching and moving as last resort, which i absolutely adore and i think still is one of the greatest pieces of electronical music out there.

 

when i read your post i was thinking (and i guess most of the others were too looking at the comments) you could release another (more electronic?!) album soon, without all of strange indie and post-rock sountrack whatever elements of your latter one...just to find me disappointed because of the misleading post ...i felt you maybe wrote this misleading "viral" post on purpose in order to get more attention, just for promotion purposes - and that made me angry. that's what upset me and i apologize for my words of rage.

 

i think it's great that you care so much to write me even though i think you should leave to anyone his opinion, especially since i know a lot of people (the most actually) who were deeply disappointed with the last album. i myself am a musician and i know how important change is, or moving forward and trying new things..but sometimes i wish you would listen more to your fans

yeah sure he can be annoyed but kicking one person out of your 141,873 person facebook group just because he tells you in the face that he did like your first album over your current is a bit overreacting no? my pal did not even send him a message he just commented with 50 other people

maybe, but it sounds like that your friend has made weird comments like that one before ("It's fair if you don't like my music, but please stop your weird comments on my site.."), and you've gotta admit, repeatedly being a detractor on someone's FB page is a bit of a douchebaggy thing to do. If this was an isolated incident, then yeah maybe he overreacted, but barely. It's just facebook ffs.

Trentemoller is so annoying on facebook i had to delete him. He updates all his gig info at once and makes like 30 events and invites everyone. So you get 30 events in your news stream about trentemoller gigs.

he only posted once before " i hope i like it better than your last one" with 50 other people commenting. thats hardly repeatedly being a douche

sure, it's dumb he deleted your friend but he's perfectly within his rights to do it. it's his group, after all, and there can't be too many things more annoying than hangers-on/fans whining about how your music *used to be great but is now lame. sure, i think that about a lot of artists, but it's not something i'd make a point of telling them; i just wouldn't pay them any more mind if i was no longer enraptured.

i can testify that that US tour was indeed sold out, and for good reason. saw him here in vancouver. fucking epic 4 sho. granville be thumpin' up and down that night.

argh i know! he played here in chicago and instead myself, an amigo, and our lady friends went to a rock show that ended up boring all of us to tears wish we had gone to this..
