Phoenecia - Demissions

hmmmm, not feeling it so far. a few good tracks but mostly "boring" to me, like somebody else said before...

which is a shame cos i usually/used to really like Phoenecia. but this is a bit too 'meh' overall, imho.

Brownout and Randa Roomet are such awesome classics though, so, i suppose it's ok for them to have 1 shit release.

If they tried to make another brownout no one would be happy. Personally I love demissions, although it took some getting used to. My favorite of 2011 thus far.

I'm digging this. Was let down by that weird Echelon Mall stuff, but this hits the spot.

Edit: Finished first listen. I think it's delicious all the way through. Sounds amazing on high volume. Essential for Autechre fans.

Think the cover is just a photo one of them took, I think Josh. Richard Devine commented on it something about he remembers that picture being taken.

Exactly. To me it is as if I've suddenly got a new pair of ears. In this record hear a newness, like a fresh breeze for electronic music. Very fine arrangement of frequencies (i.e. a perfect mix/mastering), transparent, challenging musically and very rich.

This is the soundtrack to my mental version of the Neuromancer movie.

Phoenecia has this way of making musique concrete/experimental texture music amazingly enjoyable and listenable.

could someone link me to the page to buy the cd? I've searched but can't seem to find it.

I too want a copy of this on CD, cannot find anywhere, no mention on the Detund website but 6 people say they have it on Discogs.

17 people also say they have Boards of Canada's Catalog 3. People is idiots.

Ok, I want to buy this album, I really do, but where is the friggin 'buy' button. If the CD has already been released, the 'Bandcamp & iTunes downloads' should have resumed, am I correct?

Well whatever it is it hasn't resumed, I guess they have to re-enable it.

So the CD hasn't been released then, I guess. The mystery continues...

Just emailed someone on Discogs that has it on CD, they said there was a pre-order on that Bandcamp page back in May and he ordered it then, so is that it? The wording on the Bandcamp page makes me think they have yet to release it properly on CD
