I'm one episode in, so no spoilers please.

Man, you're going to be disappointed when you find out that bad stuff happens to that one chick and that dude is actually that other guy's father.

Oh yeah, and the scene when they unmask everyone and they turn out to be space orcas.

lol

and everyone dies.

There are only 7 episodes? Damn. that's depressing.

Oh, by the way...my LOL of the day yesterday was:

"I am on foot. Typical fucking British car chase!"

I got a good LOL out of that one too

Alrighty... I'm all caught up. It is a lovely series... at least I'm enjoying it a lot more than The Killing. Beautifully shot and the dialogue is great for the most part, although, to be picky, it seems a bit trying at times with with the metaphors.

One thing that really is getting to me is how rushed it all is. Just finished six episodes, have one to go and...

Too many loose ends... a lot of bone but no flesh. This series has potential more than anything, but still one of the better series out there.

Enjoyed this. Thought it was a little silly at points, but the way it was shot made up for it. I dug the score/use of sound. Though the overt time stretch stuff they did was a little....youtube.

"Beep" *throat punch*

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

I like wallander a lot. The Krister Henriksson series are the best though The English productions with Kenneth Brannagh are very good too, especially considering I had never really liked Brannagh prior to watching it. The Flaskvartetten soundtrack work is usually pretty ace too (swedish series).

I just started watching the 2nd series of Luther last night on iPlayer. BBC cop drama with the wire's Idris Elba. Though not OMG AMAAAZINGGG episode 1 was pretty enjoyable but, expecting the storyline to spread over the whole series in a similar fashion to the French 12 part crime drama Spiral (or Engrenages in French), I was a little bemused when it came to a conclusion in episode 2 (though to be fair at the pace it was moving they couldn't have stretched that out much further.)

Did anyone catch series 1 of Luther? How much background from that is relevant to series 2? For instance the crazy bird from the secure mental hospital.

Also Idris Elba is pretty good in this... having never watched the wire and only seen him in the Big C where I thought he was pretty lame (but not as woeful as Gabourey Sidibe - I haven't seen Precious ... did she get Oscar nominated just for being fat cause she sure can't act for shit on the basis of her character in the Big C)

Luther was good for about 4 episodes in season one then it became a joke of a series. I need to check out wallander.

I recently watched tinker tailor soldier spy, now that was a fucking tv series, I need to watch smiley's people too.
