Correctemondo. I've done nothing to the photo. The view actually looked like Skyrim or something.

looks like algal bloom out in the bay (the brown stuff). When i went up north to see dad the other month the first days swimming was fine but on the last day some of the stinky stuff drifted in to the bay when the wind changed direction.

thanks. that was a real lucky break - i started taking family photos just as the sun was starting to set, and there were these dusty golden beams shooting in through every window

 

also spratters that quoted pic reminds me that i need to figure out a good way to get night shots of the city
