I actually left work yesterday in shorts and flip-flops but had to make sure I was on the sunny side of the road. If you were on the shady side it was still chilly, everyone was hoodied up and you felt a bit silly.

My 'active posts' and 'profile views' are tied... Not really a first-world problem, or an achievement... but there's something about it.

I was reported for harassment at work because I told a girl that if she is literally unable to tan it is because she has a deficient amount of melanin, which is absolutely 100% factual.

She kept telling me how she's not albino, which I agreed with about 20 times. Then she reports me for calling her an albino, which I didn't. And somehow this has made it through as an actual harassment complaint that the VP of my company is involved in.

It's such fucking bullshit.

All I said is that tanning is the body's natural response to UVB radiation and it happens in the epidermal layer of your skin, and that if you actually CAN'T tan, you don't have melanin/pigment. How is that harassment?

do you have a way to represent your case to your employers? or are you just stuck with the charge?

Right now I'm stuck with it. I had to submit a statement detailing what occurred. What's fucked up is it's not even the girl I was talking to that made the complaint, it was her co-worker that overheard, and the girl I was talking to just rolled with it/didn't stand up for herself.

Either way, it's permanently on my record. It's not fair really that because a co-worker is so childish and unable to build a working relationship that they wouldn't simply say "hey, that's making me feel uncomfortable, let's talk about something else", that I have some shit on my ROE!

I'm pissed! It's not like this is a new co-worker either. I've been working closely with them for the past year. Snakes in the grass apparently.

If there are every any, and I mean ANY, repercussions from this I'm involving a lawyer in a heartbeat.

I want to have real third world problems so I wouldn't have to think about stupid first world problems, did anyone here ever felt like that?

tonight i met a stranger who invited me to a party. we all chilled out and played the cocaine margarita blues. on my walk home, i got a text asking if i wanted to do the sex. makes me feel hot as shit. i explained that im not bisexual. were going to an electronic show next weekend. life is horrible.

friend invited me out on friday to a show, and i ended up getting too drunk and went home. ended up feeling awful the next day, and missed both that same friend's birthday party, and an andy stott show, for which i already had a ticket. i've already seen stott, but i'm financially fucked this month so wasting $21 on something i didn't even attend is fucky. and i've just been miserable for at least a month, so i'm incredibly upset that this weekend feels wasted to me.

I have around 500 records and 500 CDs that I've been meaning to sell for a long old while, but I can't decide whether to list them on:

a) discogs

b) ebay

c) ebay as several job lots (by genre)

d) here.

In bulk on craigslist. refuse to accept cash.

I was going to shift them on to one of the last remaining secondhand record stores here, but when I spoke to them on the phone a few weeks ago they said "yeah, you'll have to bring it all in for us to look at." Oh, okay then - I'll just gather up 500 records and 500 CDs, ram them all in the car, come to your store where there's nowhere nearby to park, for you to look over it and maybe pick out 20 records for chump change? I'd rather drop boxes off at a charity shop than jump through hoops for a pittance from those jokers.
