Thanks.. I just completed my first quest, had to kill 6 wolves. I'm level 2 now. Was fun lol.

Not sure how to join guilds and stuff though

I had a dream the other night that I injected heroin. In the dream I knew it was wrong, but for some reason I accepted it. The strange thing was that I felt no effects from it in the dream, but for some reason I knew it felt good. Hard to explain, quite weird. It was one of those dreams where you wake up relieved that it wasn't real.

Apart from a morphine injection for a kidney stone, I've never touched the shit.

Most fun/easiest to grief game I have ever played. Good memories there.

Enemy Territory was MUCH better for griefing. Probably still is, if there are any servers running. i got pretty good at both these games, in between being a jerk. i recently started playing TFC again, as well as counterstrike! i love source: beta

it will all become apparent...atm just concentrate on getting to lvl 20 via quests. what sort of character did you choose?

never rolled a Druid myself, but they are a pretty awesome hybrid class (able to perform either as DPS ((damage dealer)) Tank ((damage taker)) or Healer so plenty of versatility and options if you find you don't like one play style...

you sold out and chose Alliance though! lol, I've now got some Ally characters so can't really talk but Horde is way cooler.

you don't start raiding until the "end game" ie once you hit level 85 and have sufficiently good gear. forget about raiding for the forseeable future. with regard to joining a guild - just be patient and you will more than likely get invited to one out of the blue - just hang around where people are congregating and someone will likely notice you're not in a guild and invite you. alternatively you can go around asking everyone if you can join their guild, but I wouldn't do this as it's annoying. now you've started your character you may as well stick with it to at least level 30, don't go chopping and changing characters all the time or you'll never get anywhere...all the ally hate is just banter really, don't let it force you into changing, just stick with your druid mate.

all you need to worry about now is questing. quest quest quest. once you hit level 15 you can start to do dungeons which are group objectives (a bit like raids but not as hardcore) enabling you to level up more quickly and get some good loot. beware though if you're not an experienced player, you are likely to get told off in dungeons for doing the wrong thing and will probably end up being kicked out of your group a few times.

really I'd just do quests, pick up absolutely every piece of loot you can and sell it, and also start playing the auction house - sell any green or better items you loot that you won't use. money is vitally important in WoW. the more the better. try and get at least 100g by the time your level 20.

Alright awesome. Thanks for the help. How long should it take to get to level 70-80? If I play 1-2 hours a day.

depending on your skill, probably about 3 - 6 months, which is a hell of a lot quicker than it used to be. took me about a year and a half to level my first ever character to 70 lol.

I stopped playing before the Blood Elf class was introduced, so if I were you, I would have rolled one of those. My main character was a Tauren Shaman [Enhancement discipline]. That was a lot of fun, and really handy for doing quests by myself.

It took me one month to get to level 60. That was at least 5 hours a day, though. Sometimes 14 hours. It took nearly two goddamn weeks to get from 50 to 60.

Does anyone know any interesting older or smaller offline RPG's? When I can't make music and don't know what to do I like to play games but I don't want to get addicted. And my internet is really slow so I can't download 20gb or so.

Lord of the Rings Online. Just started it this morning, and if you're into Tolkien's middle-earth, you'd probably dig it. If not, you may or may not like it. It doesn't seem to be quite as hardcore as WoW and the community is generally pretty friendly and helpful(though it varies by server from what I've read). Within twenty minutes I was running around noob areas with a group doing noob quests and generally looking incompetent while the others rushed off, but they always came back to provide backup when I needed it.

I'm a big Tolkien fan but this is 6,8GB :( It would take me about a week to download it. And it looks dangerously addicting. I'll check Baldur's Gate today if I'll find where to download it.
