What the fuck is all this "DEEP" music anyway? What makes it Deep Garage vs Garage? Deep House vs House? It all sounds the same to me

Maybe it's more 'underground'?

deep makes me think more subdued and housey, while shallow makes me think of bitches in da club

deep means it actually sounds deep in atmoshpere and bass to me.

i got sort of halfway with a tune recently, it needs major polishing but the ideas are there

Just from looking at the waveform for that track I can tell that you aren't using nearly enough brickwall compression.

i dont know what that is so thats probably a good shout
